Margaret asks: Q. What makes Talitha coffee stand out from the rest?
Jenny's Response A: First of all, we are survivor-founded.
We are building an informed model that brings empowerment to other survivors.
We see the survivors as the heroes of the story and are committed to providing them opportunities and support as they take courageous steps in building their lives and achieving their goals.
Secondly, we serve specialty coffee that is intentionally roasted and ethically sourced. We take steps to make sure that we are not only providing an incredible cup of coffee but that every step – from farming the coffee to the cup being served is combatting exploitation.
We are actually thrilled to bring survivors into a company that is providing something they can be proud of.
The other aspect that sets us apart is that we have a high value for partnerships.
There are many people that are a part of the movement to fight trafficking and bring hope to survivors.
We are honored to partner with many experts and non-profits to not only provide employment and training opportunities but also provide a comprehensive support network that really champions and supports survivors in practical ways like housing, legal services, and therapeutic resources.
