• What is Talitha?

“Talitha Koum” is an Aramaic phrase that means...

    “Rise, little girl.”

Talitha Coffee is a coffee roaster created to lift people up.

Jenny Barber was on a mission to help people like her — survivors of childhood exploitation.

With specific insights from her experiences as a survivor, she worked as an anti-trafficking advocate, building a system that could help other survivors become the heroes of their own stories.

Meanwhile, her husband Robert Barber had been perfecting a unique coffee roast in their home, on their stove-top coffee roaster.

After a chance encounter, an opportunity to turn Robert’s coffee roast into a real business fell into their laps. But rather than deciding to start a regular coffee business, Jenny and Robert took the chance to use their coffee beans for something bigger.

TALITHA COFFEE WAS BORN.

Talitha represents a deep passion for ethical coffee roasting, utilized to end human trafficking using researched, holistic means that sustain recovery.

where is talitha located?

Based in San Diego, CA, Talitha brews ethically sourced, premium coffee with a mission to support trafficking survivors. Every day, hundreds of people help make a change with just a sip.
