Mother of Six: Empowering Survivors of Human Trafficking
In the shadowed corners of our society, there are stories of resilience and redemption waiting to be told. This is where Talitha Coffee steps in - we make it our goal to provide a message of hope.
One of our co-founders, Jenny, a survivor of childhood exploitation herself, knows firsthand the transformative power of hope in emerging from darkness. Together with her husband Robert, they embarked on a journey of advocacy and outreach, navigating red-light districts nationwide.
But how does Coffee play a role in this story?
Jenny and Roberts's trajectory shifted when they discovered Robert's innate talent for roasting coffee using a humble popcorn popper on their stovetop. With a blend of passion and purpose, they began selling their freshly roasted beans, each cup brimming with the aroma of possibility.
Driven by their commitment to their cause to come along side those who have been affected by trafficking they partnered with co-founder and CEO Mike Glanz to seize the opportunity to acquire Cafe Virtuoso, a local roaster deeply ingrained in the community. With a strategic rebranding, Talitha Coffee was born.
Now at Talitha, each cup served became a symbol of resilience, a testament to the power of second chances.
Every time you purchase Talitha Coffee you are supporting the mission to support and provide hope for those impacted by trafficking. Talitha coffee provides job opportunities, support for survivors, and partners with experts as well as individuals and organizations seeking to benefit others who have survived trafficking.
